
Early on in their victory over Liverpool, Chelsea had problems playing out from the back.
With Liverpool’s front three blocking the easy passes into midfield and out to the full-backs, Antonio Rudiger and Kurt Zouma gave the ball away twice on the edge of their area. To stop this from continuing to happen, Chelsea made immediate changes to enable them to work the ball forward and manipulate Liverpool’s midfield into creating space for them to attack.
