Ones to Watch

The youngest player at this World Cup, Christian Eriksen is unlikely to start for Denmark but should appear off the bench. The Ajax man has been compared to Michael Laudrup and has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Barcelona. In his few appearances he’s shown an excellent reading of the game that makes much of what he does look simple. He has the potential to make a starting place his own at this World Cup or at least prove to be a creative spark from the bench.

Another not guaranteed to start, Lazio wing-back Aleksandar Kolarov could be kept out of the Serbia side by Ivan Obradovic, which would be a shame as the fleet-footed attacking left-back has proven to be a joy to watch and a chance to show why Mourinho wants him at Real Madrid could make an already interesting Serbia side even better.
